Imperial Chefs In Shing Jea?
Each one of the chefs (5 in total) needs 5 different ingredients to make something. What do you get for bringing the ingredients to them? I thought I only needed 5 different ingredients & farming them has been hard enough, but now I realise each chef needs 5 different ingredients
What reward do I get anyway? Thanks. |

It's for the finale for the Canthan New Year. The finale is on Sunday and requires you to feed the Celestial Rat. If you bring the chefs the ingredients, you get some tokens or fortunes I believe and if each chef is able to make a dish you get more fortunes and possibly a minipet. You don't personally need to make every dish; other people will be helping you.

But the more ingredients you have the bigger the chance is for a minipet?

The main problem that happened last year was a lack of the higher level ingredients.
Most areas had loads of mantis pincers, alpine seeds and naga hides but very few of the Truffles smoking remains and azure remains etc. The meal then can fail and so no pet for that district at that time, that's a shame for the newer players who don't have access to the areas where these ingredients drop. Makes for a good team effort from new to old players though which can be great when it comes off. |

To ensure you get the main event's prize (it's NOT a mini-pet - that's already been stated by Gaile Gray), look for a district that's "sponsored" by a guild. Many Guilds have gone out and collected the items needed to complete the feast. You can still contribute whatever items you've aquired, in exchange for each item you donate, you'll get a lunar token.

Any tips on finding which districts are being "sponsored"? Aside from district-hopping at the time of the event, of course...
(Is there a guru thread somewhere 'bout this?) Thanks EDIT: Nevermind, I checked the Guild Announcements forum. Thanks for the heads-up Kook. Last edited by Whispering Siren; Feb 09, 2008 at 01:35 PM // 13:35.. |
